Battersea Power Station, with its peculiar, dark brickwork and stand-still chimneys, was built back in the 1930s and has become a defining mark on London’s skyline for almost a century. However, it has remained empty since 1983, despite a number of failed attempts to redevelop the site. After years of efforts, a Malaysian consortium of investors known as the Battersea Power Station Development Company has laid the plan to turn it into luxury accommodation and leisure development, which got approved.
