Dubai launches a new platform for freelancers

Offering to professionals the opportunity to apply for a license that will allow them to legally work in two sectors, education and media, for an annual fee of Dh7,500, the Goofreelance package is 70% cheaper than before.

The permit provided covers five different activities in education, including researcher or trainer and 50 activities in media such as journalist, actor, and social media specialist.

Promising to not ‘break the bank’, the new package covers the license – a residential visa is subject to an additional cost of Dh4,000, plus Dh2,000 for a bank guarantee.
