Known for its structural marvels, Dubai has set its eyes on the infinity with its latest “Infinity” Bridge – opened on January 16, for traffic.
Inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE – the Infinity Bridge consists of six lanes in each direction and boasts the arch-shaped like an infinity symbol. He stated, “The road and transport sector is a vital sector that supports economic growth and social welfare, and we continue to advance it, and our investments in it have exceeded 140 billion dirhams over the past fifteen years.”
Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, director-general and chairman of the Board of Directors of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police have visited the bridge and reviewed the traffic diversions.
