Three reasons why Downtown Miami keeps growing

Florida’s population is growing quickly, as 900 people move to the Sunshine State everyday. Miami is no stranger to this growth, as between 2000 and 2016, the city’s population tripled, with many of these new residents settling in different Downtown Miami neighbourhoods, which is expected to soar 109,000 people in 2021.

There are many reasons for this growth, from the connectivity of the city centre to the    dazzling variety of dining options available. An explosion of new developments, from high-end hotels to soar skyscrapers have fuelled growth of visitors and new residents alike.

Convenience

Everything you could ever want is located nearby, from grocery stores to shopping centres, displaying a full range high-end and artisan goods. For those living ultra-luxury towers that have been built in the last decade and are still coming, amenities such as swimming pools, bars and gyms are located within the same building, enabling access no matter the weather outside.

Combined with the free monorail service throughout Downtown Miami, residents can access even the farthest amenity or destination easily, and there is frequent and luxury train service from downtown to other high-end destinations in the region.

Similarly, Museum Park in the north end of downtown is home to several well known cultural institutions, from the Pérez Art Museum Miami to the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science.
