South London is a bit of a transportation desert. While a spider web of commuter rail lines weaves through the communities south of the River Thames, the London Underground doesn’t go that far south, with the bulk of the system north of the river.
However, there are plans for new lines in the coming decade that could signal the revitalization of communities in the south of the city, and increase in property values too.
