Residences of the newly developed Ritz-Carlton Residences in Miami Beach will have access to their own ecological food forest and garden, including fruits, vegetables and herbs.

The poolside grill will also have freshly grown produce that takes into consideration the healthy living and eating movement.

The garden will be an urban oasis where residents can enjoy getting their hands dirty, with the benefits of feeling connected by growing and eating their produce.

Allison Greenfield, a partner at Lionheart Capital, the project’s developer said:

“In the world today, people are very involved in what they’re putting into their bodies.”

Researchers at the Miami, Florida-based Global Wellness Institute say the international wellness real estate market is now a $134 billion industry.

Celebrities like Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson who moved into an upmarket New York City Chelsea condo, where tenants have access to the building’s “wellness level,” with a spa suite, steam room and juice bar are fuelling this wellness trend.

Added to this, Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness empire, Goop tripled revenue and global expansion in 2018, and is estimated to be worth $250 million.

High-net-worth individuals are investing in their health and with this comes the need for properties with immaculate gardens, stunning views and even a spot of gardening.

Ultra-luxurious properties that combine the local with international perks and exclusive features tend to do best.

Miami’s Ritz-Carlton Residences also offers interactive classes, children’s programming and a gardening club, part of the full-service residence package.

“Millennials, a target for hotels, are very eco-conscious, so in 2019, sustainability will become more of the norm in the hotel industry.”

“We will see brands incorporating more eco-friendly elements from building design to furniture in order to appeal to this demographic.

The wellness and mindfulness trend has led to a demand for natural elements when looking for a property. Features such as a waterfront view is now a key selling point to luxury residences like Aston Martin Residences in Miami.
