New route for pedestrians and cyclists at Battersea Power Station

Battersea Power Station kicks off the new year with the opening of a new pedestrian and cycle route, linking visitors with the Circus West Village.

Battersea Power Station strollers, who previously reached Circus West Village on foot via Grosvenor Arch on the western side will now have access from the eastern side of the Power Station via Pump House Lane on Battersea Park Road. This new route will provide a 15-minute walk to Circus West Village for the 1,100 employees of the new US Embassy in the Nine Elms area, raising the popularity of the Battersea Power Station among international crowds.

Circus West Village recently became the riverside festive destination in London, with the newly opened stores such as Mother, Fiume, Vagabond, Wright Bros and The Coffeeworks Project stealing the show with their culinary suggestions over the holidays. Battersea Power Station residents have been enjoying the privileges and perks of living in such an exciting new neighbourhood that has something unique and new to offer every day. Earlier this week, the Boom Cycle feel-good team welcomed a new instructor to start the new year right when the cycle “beat” hits.

Ensuring exceptional links from the Battersea Power Station to other major areas such as Vauxhall, Nine Elms but also to Central London has been a top priority for the development that is currently on Phase 2. The River Bus pier, the new taxi drop off point on Pump House Lane and the opening of the new route will enhance the experience of visiting and living in Battersea Power Station.

“Opening up access to Circus West Village further is another big milestone for the project. It brings the fantastic range of restaurants, the pub, The Village Hall, The General Store, Design Store, our pop-ups and events much closer to even more people and makes the new River Bus more accessible than it was previously,” said Rob Tincknell, CEO of Battersea Power Station Development Company.
